Very good Italian. I had the lobster and crab stuffed ravioli served with a nice shrimp sauce. Try it, you’ll like it!
They just opened a small bistro in the Talbot Hotel, good food and good service.
There is another location 150 East Ontario, but we prefer this location because of the outside summertime seating.

Same location since 1961 (when it started as a single's bar), Butch McGuire's is a great place for lunch or even a Saturday morning brunch. Check it out while the Farmenr's Market is open in the summer and get a great breakfast for about $3.

We have head dinner here on two occasions. It is nice, but I wouldn't call it one of my favorites. The food was good - the last time were were there was to watch the Thangsgiving Parade of Lights. There is one table that has a 1/2 way good view of the parade as it starts!

12/29/2006 - We went here for lunch today - the Pastrami was the best that I have had in years.
My wife had the chicken salad and my friends had corned beef and Pastrami - no disappointments. I met Brad while were were waiting to be seated and he went to the kitchen to get me a sample.
We'll go back - it's about a 15 minute ride on the Red Line. Did I forget to mention that he also serves breaksfast all day?

A very nice, but also quite expensive, Italian restaurant that occupies the old Biggs Mansion. We arrived about 5:30pm and were greeted by the hostess and Nick, the maitre d. The building interior is impressive and the service was excellent – everyone gave the impression that they were there just to take care of us. And would you believe, at 5:30 the place was packed. During diner we were told that they were taking reservations for April, so call early. Be hungry, the portions are large. I had the Veal Saltimbocca and my wife had the Scampi (6 very large prawns served with spinach) alla Romanna – both were really good and a ‘doggy bag’ accompanied us home. Before dinner, there were a variety of complimentary snacks that were served, so be careful to leave room for dinner and desert. For desert we had a flowerless chocolate cake :~}
06/06/2006 - The review above was written on the night Il Mulino opened. Last weekend we went back - the temporary staff that was there originally was now gone - result, it was still great - we really enjoyed the evening. I would recommend to anyone looking for really good Italian!

12/27/2006 - I took my family here for dinner last night and it was a dining experience. While the place was packed, we were still seated within 10 minutes of the reservation time. The menu is a bit on the pricy side, but well worth it for special occasions.
I had the bone-in fillet and we shared a few of the sides. My son and I also shared a bottle of "Patricia Green Pinot Noir 2005" which was also a perfect choice. For appetizers we had the stone crab bisque and crab cakes. This is one of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurants.
For desert try the Key Lime or the Turtle pie!

French Vietnamese - we walked past the place for almost a year without stopping, and that was our mistake. If you decide to stop, make sure that you have reservations - our favorite table is in the front-center, a table for two, looking out onto Rush.
This is another restaurant where sharing is acceptable. We typically order two dinners that are served family style and share - the food is great!
We have been here many times since our initial visit and it has become one of my wife's favorite places.
We had dinner here on New Year's Eve 2006. Great food and we also enjoyed a bottle of Josmeyer 2004 Riesling Alsace Le Dragon.
