We enjoy beautiful lake views and in the summer we can view boats of all kinds taking advantage of Chicago's great harbor system. With accommodations for more than 5,000 boats, the Chicago Park District Harbors constitute the nation's largest municipal harbor system.
It didn't take long and I decided that a new hobby was in order. My sailboat is a 1980 Ericson E25+ and I sail out of Chicago's Monroe Harbor under the name Weekend Escape.
